Well almost, because I know my schedule, but I still don’t know what work I have…oops. One on monday, three on tuesday, three on wednesday, FIVE on thursday but I slew the Frieda dragon and still have no friday class. I win.
Here they are, my 30 credits, my 15 hours, my classes:
1. Irish Culture: the lecturer for this is great, very candid and witty, he talks about Ireland like it’s a teenager finally rebelling, sipping on jack (or guinness I guess) with a hand nervously placed on a woman’s thigh.
2. Health Illness & Society: look kids, I’m taking soc classes! This lecturer talks a mile a minute, but she’s also very quick and funny. Today we talked about Goffman (core 2: the multiple self? anyone anyone?)
3. Irish Literature: going to be amazing, especially since we’re reading ulysses in 3 sessions, good thing I’m also taking…
4. Ulysses: That’s right Sydney. I chose it.
5. 20th Century Drama: Nicole you would love this. I’m finding despite my raging hatred for all things theater, I like it a lot too. I actually had that great nerdy, schooley moment today in class when I realized how lucky I am to be here, learning about this (this being stage craft in the 1800’s and the part of the beginning of feminism in Ireland through play writing! what?!)
6. Psychology & Crime: This would be my “fun” elective. But I joke, for one the comparisons between Ireland & the US alone have been really interesting, it also doesn’t hurt that the prof- erm lecturer- is extremely hunky and quippy.
I’m a little scared about the lack of available syllabi but I’ll figure it out…here we go.
